We're a boutique gift and home shop rooted right here in the Tennessee Valley — and we wouldn't have it any other way. Whether you're searching for something special for the people you love, or treating yourself to something beautiful for your home, we've done the curating, so you don't have to.

Southern at Heart

We take real pride in the brands we carry. You'll find beloved Southern names like Loveless Cafe — home of Nashville's most famous biscuits — alongside The Creek Outfitters, our very own local brand, and other artisan makers who pour their hearts into everything they create. Our Hometown Spirit! collection celebrates our local Sale Creek Panthers and Tennessee Vols with gear for the tailgates and traditions that bring us all together.

We partner with local and regional vendors through our Gather 'round Goods collection, because we believe in lifting up the makers and small businesses that make the South so special.

Behind Birch & Willow Mercantile are two sisters, Sarah & Lanita, that share a love for timeless design and the feeling of home.  Our name comes from our parents' favorite trees: the birch, strong and versatile like our dad who loved woodworking, and the willow, graceful and nurturing like our mom who finds joy in planting and tending to her flowers.  Growing up in a small town, we learned the value of family, creativity, and meaningful connections.  Our dream is to create a space that reflects those values and allows others to bring that same comfort and charm into their own lives.   This shop is not just a business but a continuation of our family's story, a tribute to our upbringing, and a way to share what we love with our community.
